Saturday September 18th

Read: Luke 1:26 – 38

Learn: Mary was a young girl given a great honor. To be the earthly mother of Jesus Christ, the Savior of the world. Upon first seeing the angel Gabriel, she was understandably afraid. But as Gabriel explained why he had come; she absorbed the gravity of her situation. She questioned, not out of disrespect, but of pure wonder, how could she be pregnant while still a virgin? She was answered, “nothing is impossible with God.” Mary could have said “no way! You have got the wrong girl!” But instead, she replied, “I am the servant of the Lord, let it be to me according to your word.”

Reflect: Would you have a faith like Mary? If God told you today that your entire life was about to change according to His will, would you embrace it?

Pray: God, may I have a faith like Mary. To look at you and say, “your will be done no matter what.” I am willing to accept all that you call me to. I have faith that you will lead me to great things. I know that there may be pain along the way, but I also know you will not abandon me amid that pain. God strengthen my faith. In Jesus name, Amen.
