About Us
From the pastor
The best way to describe how our church works is the phrase "pastor led and congregationally affirmed." It is clear from the Bible that there is no external authority over the church except for the Lord Jesus Christ. We believe that churches have the responsibility to govern themselves. One of the ways a church governs itself is in the calling of its pastors. The Bible acknowledges that leaders are a gift to the church when they function as they ought. That means that they have responsibility to lead the church. This makes good sense in our day-to-day operations - we don't have time to vote congregationally on everything. The big decisions - calling of staff, purchasing or selling land, or other major initiatives - will typically involve a significant time of discussion in one of our congregational business meetings. Charles Billingsly once said,"Worship is a lifestyle. Not driven by preference, but the presence of God." I hope you will join us at our next worship service!

Plan Your Visit
Worship service starts at 10:45AM but we recommend arriving 15 minutes early to check kids into kids ministry, grab some coffee, find a seat, and meet new people. The worship service typically lasts 60-75 minutes. Our services are full of great worship music consisting of the newest songs all the way to classic hymns. The sermon will be biblically based, interesting, and relevant to your life. After the service you can pick up your children from kids ministry and spend some time meeting our leaders in the lobby. We hope to see you this Sunday at church!
We offer kids ministry on Sunday mornings and Wednesday nights. Sunday morning your kids can enjoy bible study together from 9:30AM - 10:30AM before the worship service. At 10:45 AM all children in Kindergarten and up join their families in the main worship service is over. When the music is finished, we invite those children in Kindergarten through 5th grade to attend children's church. Just walk your kids back to the kids area after the music is over and a volunteer will take it from there! On Wednesday nights we offer special opportunities for your kids to go deeper and learn more about the Bible and their faith from 6:00PM - 7:30PM. Wednesday night kids ministry is seasonal, so be sure to check back here to make sure what the start and end dates are!
Basecamp (infant-20 mos)
It's never too early to instill the values and stories of the Bible in your children. From Bible songs to story time, your infant will be cared for by our highly-qualified workers. We're also really good at rocking munchkins to sleep. 😄
summit kids (4 yrs-5th grade)
During our morning worship experience, your children will experience a high-impact, immersive encounter with God and the stories of the Bible. From fantastic worship songs to engaging story time; we know your child's faith is the highest priority and we take our responsibility very seriously.
centershot Ministries Archery Program @ Cedar Pointe (SundaY NIGHTS) Starts JUNE 23th!
Join us for this 8-week program learning God's vision for our lives through the skill of archery culminating around the phrase, "Making Christ the target of our lives."
Ages 9 and up. Adults too! Special Summer Pricing! only $5 per participant! (Normally $25)
This Archery certification will satisfy Boy & Girl Scout badge qualifications! Next 8 week class starts June 24th!
Courageous climbers (21 mos-3 years)
The B.I.B.L.E...is there any other great way to start the foundation of your children's faith? As your children begin to cement what they believe, we will be there to ensure they experience God in an exciting way that is relatable to their age.
Cedar Pointe Kids: Mission Nights (2 yrs-Middle School) WEDNESDAYS 6:00PM-7:30PM
On Wednesday nights, exciting new experiences await children who attend. The Biblical lessons for kids help them learn about God, the Bible and themselves as they explore fun activities and make new friends. At weekly meetings, kids dig into God’s Word, memorize Scripture, apply God’s truth to their lives and grow into young men and women who will serve Christ throughout their lives. This summers Wednesday night theme is "Mission Nights". We will be learning about mission, missionaries, and the different countries they reach out to. Starts June 13th and runs through July 25th, 6:00PM - 7:30PM each Wednesday evening!
